    Exhibit extended: An Aug. 14 story about a weekend in the French Quarter incorrectly stated the ending date of the Historic New Orleans Collection's "Surrounded by Water" exhibition. The exhibit has been extended through Sept. 20.

    Column erred on Social Security: A column in Tuesday's Money section misstated the age at which Americans born in 1959 or later qualify for full Social Security benefits. They qualify for full benefits when they are 66 years and 10 months of age.

    Quote corrected: Phyllis Montana LeBlanc was misquoted in a story in Wednesday's Living section. The quote, "I'm a Katrina survivor and a poor engineer's victim," should have read, "I'm a Katrina survivor but a Corps of Engineers victim."

    Wrong river: The introduction to a story in Tuesday's Living section misidentified the river that caused flooding this summer in Terre Haute, Ind. The river is the Wabash.

    Aide is consultant for IESI: Barry Bordelon, top aide to Jefferson Parish Councilman Elton Lagasse, also is a consultant for IESI, an international waste disposal company. A story in some Friday editions listed Bordelon as a consultant for Coastal Waste Services, a regional company owned by IESI.

    State financing figures corrected: In a story in some Thursday editions about the St. Charles Parish School Board's millage rate, the amount of the reduction in state financing over a 10-year period was incorrect. The district lost $800,000 in 2008, and it will lose another $800,000 annually until 2018, when the reduction will total $8 million annually.

    Oil numbers corrected: Louisiana produced 6,293,000 barrels of crude oil on average each month for the first quarter of 2008, and the state averaged 11,269,000 barrels monthly in 1998. A story in Tuesday's editions about Sen. John McCain's visit to an oil rig gave incorrect numbers.

    Task force includes Gretna:A story that ran in some editions Tuesday on crime statistics in unincorporated Jefferson Parish did not include the Gretna Police Department on a list of agencies participating in the West Bank Major Crimes Task Force.

    Demolition notice report erred: A story about the razing of a New Orleans home in Sunday's edition incorrectly reported that the demolition company, Beck Disaster Recovery, said it was notified that Saturday's demolition had been canceled. The company said it had not been notified of the cancellation.

    Campus still open: A graphic in Sunday's edition incorrectly reported the status of the Nelson Elementary School campus, 3121 St. Bernard Ave. The campus currently houses the Medard H. Nelson Charter School, which is slated to be renovated in later phases of a New Orleans public school facilities master plan.

    Owners misidentified: In the Aug. 15 edition of Lagniappe, a feature about places to have breakfast incorrectly identified the owner of Parrot Pete's restaurant in an upcoming mixed-use development in Harvey. The owner of the restaurant and the development is Bobby Guidry.

    Bayona is open: In Thursday's New Orleans Picayune, columnist Jon Kemp recounted being unable to eat at Bayona because the restaurant was closed for renovations. Bayona has reopened.

    Phone number corrected: The phone number for the Cripple Creek Theatre Company is incorrect in today's Lagniappe theater calendar. It is 504. 891.6815. The company's production of "An Enemy of the People" is playing today and Saturday at 8 p.m. in the North Rampart Community Center, 1130 N. Rampart St.

    Tax savings wrong: A story in some Thursday editions regarding a millage hearing in St. Charles Parish incorrectly reported that reducing property taxes from 4.1 mills to 4.01 mills would save owners of a $175,000 home $9 a year. That information was mistakenly attributed to School Board member Al Suffrin. Suffrin said Thursday the effect of reducing a 4.1-mill property tax to 4.01 mills would be insignificant to homeowners, amounting to only about 90 cents a year.
